About

Gayatri Veda Parayana Charitable Trust, Bengaluru

Founded in 2022 in Bengaluru with the benign blessings of Their Holinesses, the Jagadgurus of Sringeri, the Gayatri Veda Parayana Charitable Trust was established with two sacred objectives rooted in Sanatana Dharma: Veda Parirakshana (the preservation of the Vedas) and Gau Samrakshana (seva to the Gau).

Deeply devoted to safeguarding and propagating Vedic wisdom while fostering ahimsa and bhakti through Gau protection, the Trust upholds the timeless ideals of Sanatana Dharma. Through committed efforts centered on these two pillars—Veda as the breath of Brahman and Gau as the living embodiment of Shakti, the Mata—the Trust nurtures spiritual growth, and the continuity of Bharata’s eternal cultural heritage.

The Trust’s foremost mission, aligned with Sanatana Dharma’s call to preserve shruti, is to protect, promote, and disseminate the Vedas’ divine teachings for society’s spiritual and moral upliftment. With unwavering shraddha, we ensure these apaurusheya scriptures continue to illuminate dharma, artha, kama, and moksha for future generations.

To fulfill this sacred yajna, the Trust conducts the following programmes at regular intervals in Bengaluru:

  • Sampoorna Veda Parayanam
  • Maasa Veda Parayanam
  • Durga Sukta Parayanam
  • Jyotirlinga Rudranushtanam
  • Annual Upakarma
  • Anniversary of the Trust

In Sanatana Dharma, the Gau is not merely an animal but Gomata, the divine mother revered in the Vedas as the abode of all gods (sarvaswa), sustainer of life, and symbol of non-violence. She embodies Kamadhenu, yielding panchagavya for rituals, nourishment, and healing, honoring the sacred bond between bhumi and jeeva.

To uphold this Dharmic runa (debt), the Trust organizes Gau Seva programmes at select Gaushalas in Bengaluru, in collaboration with devoted sadhakas and well-wishers, promoting go-raksha as paramo dharma.
